Westennial United Church, located at 248 Ossington Street in Toronto, was created in 1988, bringing together Westmoreland United and Wesley-Grace-Carmen United. It closed in 1997.

Westmoreland United Church, at the corner of Westmoreland and Hallam streets, north of Bloor Street, in Toronto began as a Methodist mission of the Metropolitan Church in 1884. It was called the Dovercourt Mission (1886), and by 1892 the congregation had been entered into the rolls as Westmoreland. A fire in 1908 necessitated a new building which was completed in the following year. It joined the United Church of Canada in 1925.

Wesley United Church, at 248 Ossington Street (at Dundas) in Toronto, was established in 1925, originally a Methodist Church. It began as a Methodist Church in 1876 and in 1921 it amalgamated with Crawford Methodist congregation in the Wesley building. In 1957 the church was destroyed by fire, and was rebuilt, opening in 1961. In 1983 it joined with Grace-Carmen to form Wesley-Grace-Carmen, and in 1988 that congregation joined with Westmoreland to form Westennial United Church.

Grace-Carman United Church in Toronto was established in 1966 upon the union of Grace United Church and Carman Memorial United Church. The new congregation used the Grace building, which was located at 1155 College Street, at the corner of College and Sheridan Avenue, between Lansdowne Avenue and Dufferin Street. In 1983, Grace-Carman united with Wesley United Church to form Wesley-Grace-Carman United Church in the Wesley building.

Grace United Church in Toronto was established in 1925; formerly College Street Methodist Church, and known originally as St. Clarens Avenue Methodist Church. The congregation originated in 1884 when Methodist meetings were first held in the former village of Brockton, newly annexed to the city of Toronto. In 1887, St. Clarens Avenue Methodist Church was opened;at the southwest corner of St. Clarens and Dundas Street West, near Lansdowne Avenue. At the turn of the century, a new site was purchased at the corner of College Street and Sheridan Avenue, between Lansdowne and Dufferin Street. In 1903, a Sunday school was opened at this location, and it soon became known as College Street Methodist Church, though the church building itself was not completed until 1908. At the time of union, College Street Methodist Church adopted the name Grace United Church. in 1966, Grace united with Carman United Church to form Grace-Carman United Church in the Grace building.

Carman Memorial United Church in Toronto was establshed in 1925 as Carman United Church (the designation 'Memorial' was added in 1947); formerly Carman Methodist Church, and founded originally in 1912 as Pauline Avenue Methodist Church. The church was located on Pauline Avenue, just north of Bloor Street West, between Lansdowne Avenue and Dufferin Street. In 1917, a new building was opened on the same site and was named in honour of Albert Carman (1833-1917), first General Superintendent of the Methodist Church (C.N.B.). In 1966, Carman Memorial united with Grace United Church to form Grace-Carman United Church in the Grace building.

Zion Congregational Church began meeting at the Masonic Temple in Toronto in 1834, and later moved to an abandoned Methodist Church on George Street. In 1840 a chapel was erected at Bay and Adelaide Streets in the city, with the congregation later moving to 88 College Street at Elizabeth Street in Toronto. The congregation disbanded in 1910 and in 1948 the University of Toronto acquired the building.

Bradford United Church, located at 66 Barrie Street in Bradford, was established in 1925, formerly Methodist. The Bradford Methodist Church officially opened in 1851, although there had been a Methodist presence in Bradford as early as 1834. The church was constructed at Lot 15, Concession 7, West Gwillimbury. It formed part of a Methodist circuit with Ebenzer Church in West Gwillimbury Township, Sutherland's Church in West Gwillimbury Township, Mount Pleasant Church in West Gwillimbury Township and Gilford. It joined the United Church of Canada in 1925 and formed part of a three-point pastoral charge with Ebenezer Church (until ca. 1927) and Holland Landing (until ca. 1988). Holland Landing United Church became a separate charge ca. 1989. Bradford United Church is no longer an active congregation of the United Church of Canada and closed ca. 2023.

In 1926 the Presbyterian Missionary and Deaconess Training Home and the Methodist National Training School joined to form the United Church Training School in Toronto. In 1930 the School became affiliated with Emmanuel College, whose staff contributed to the courses of instruction. The School was first located at 135 St. Clair Avenue West, the former Methodist building. In 1942 the Canadian Women's Army Corps took over the St. Clair building and the school moved to 214 St. George Street West; in 1955 a new building was constructed at 77 Charles Street West. The purpose of the school was to train women for work as missionaries for home and foreign fields, Social Service, as congregational workers in pastoral charges, and other non ordained Church vocations. The School was under the direction of a Board of Management which was appointed by the United Church of Canada General Council, and was supervised by a Principal, a position held by Jean E. Macdonald, 1926 1934, Gertrude L. Rutherford, 1934 1946, Jean D.H. Hutchinson, 1946 1953, and K. Harriet Christie, 1953 1970. In 1962 the name was changed to Covenant College, and the constitution amended to permit the admission of male students.

Metropolitan United Church in Toronto was established in 1925; formerly Methodist. It traces its origins to the first Methodist Church in the town of York (now Toronto); this church was erected in 1818 on King Street near present day Bay Street and was known both as York Methodist Episcopal Chapel and as King Street Methodist Episcopal Chapel. In 1832 the congregation moved to a new location on the southeast corner of Newgate Street (now Adelaide Street) and Toronto Street; this church was known as Newgate Street Methodist Episcopal Church, and later as Adelaide Street Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1868 the congregation acquired the property known as McGill Square on the north side of Queen Street, between Church Street and Bond Street. A temporary structure was immediately built there, and construction of a new building was also started on the same property. In 1872 the new building was dedicated as Metropolitan Wesleyan Methodist Church (the change from Methodist Episcopal to Wesleyan Methodist occurred in 1833). Three years after the union of 1925, Metropolitan United was badly damaged in a fire. It was immediately rebuilt, with some changes to the original 1872 design.It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.

Powassan Pastoral Charge was formed in 1925, formerly union. It includes Powassan and Chisholm. From 1955 to 1960, the charge also included Wasing.

Powassan United Church, located at 462 Main Street in Powassan, was established in 1925, formerly a union church. Presbyterians met in Powassan as early as 1877; however, it wasn't until 1888 the congregation had its own church, located on 12th Concession (current site of the fair grounds). It was named Knox Presbyterian Church. Powassan Methodist Church was established in 1885 and a church was built that year. A second church was built in 1892. On April 16, 1918, the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches decided to become a union church and services were held at the Methodist Church. A new church was constructed in 1926.It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.

Chisholm United Church, located at 1469 Chiswick Line, Powassan, was established in 1925, formerly a union church.The Methodists and Presbyterian united in 1918 to become the Union Church of Chisholm, meeting in the Methodist building. It joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.

Trinity United Chuch (Toronto, Ont.) is located at the corner of Bloor and Robert streets, just west of Spadina Avenue. It was opened around 1888, and was originally known as Western Methodist Church. It joined the United Church in 1925, and in 1980 was joined with St. Paul's - Avenue Road Church to form Trinity - St. Paul's United Church, using the Trinity building.

Barton Stone United Church was established 1925, formerly Presbyterian. Barton Stone Presbyterian Church was established circa 1831; it joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. Barton Methodist Circuit was active 1877-1886.

Yonge Street Methodist was located at the corners of Yonge and Summerhill streets in Toronto. It began in 1873 at the corner of Yonge and Marlborough streets in the city. That church was torn down in 1911, and the new building had its first service in the same year. It joined the United Church in 1925.

The Donway Covenant United Church was formed in November 1992 with the amalgamation of the two congregations - Donway United Church and Covenant United Church - Oriole. The newly formed congregation used the property of the former Donway United Church. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.

Donway United Church was formed in February 1955 to serve the north-west quadrant of Don Mills. Members met at Norman Ingram Memorial School until the church buildings were constructed in 1956 at 230 The Donway West.

Trenton United Pastoral Charge, located at 85 Dundas Street East in Trenton, was formed on January 1, 2015 with the amalgmation of the United Church congregations in Trenton: Grace, King Street and North Trenton. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada. This was a unique amalgamation as it incorporated three separate pastoral charges to create a new single point charge.

King Street United Church in Trenton was originally established as the New Canada Methodist Church on King Street in Trenton, in 1877. It joined the United Church of Canada in 1925 and served as a single-point charge until North Trenton United Church joined, making it a two-point charge until 2015 when the two congregations amalgamated with Grace United Church in Trenton.

St. Paul's United Church (Bancroft, Ont.) was established in 1925, formerly a Methodist congregation. In 1950 a new parsonage was constructed on James Street . In 1954 a large addition was built onto the existing church. In 1959 the congregation bought the Bancroft Community Hall to be used as a church hall. St. Paul's is located on Hastings Street in Bancroft. The congregation is still active.

George Milledge Tuttle (1915-) was a United Church minister, administrator and Moderator. He was born at Medicine Hat, Alberta, the son of Methodist minister Aubrey Stephen Tuttle. He obtained a doctorate in theology from Victoria University. He had several mission fields, a pastorate in Sangudo, Alberta and a term as assistant minister in Toronto. As well, he served as National Director of Youth Work, Professor at Union College, Vancouver, 1951-1966, and Principal of St. Stephen's College, Edmonton, 1966-1979. He was President of British Columbia Conference in 1963, on the Executive of General Council in 1974 and served as Moderator from 1977 to his retirement in 1980.

A grouping of Presbyteries within a larger geographical area make up a Conference, a higher court of the Church. The functions of the Presbytery include: overseeing Pastoral Charges in its bounds, including the designation of new Charges; receiving and disposing of petitions and appeals from lower governing bodies or courts; transmitting the above to higher bodies or courts; licensing lay persons recommended after examination; supervising education of students looking forward to ministry and to have oversight of conduct of members of the Order of Ministry within its bounds. Waterloo Presbytery was established within the boundaries of Hamilton Conference in 1969 following the dissolution of Guelph Presbytery. The Presbytery closed on December 31, 2018 with the reorganization of the church court structure. Communities of faith within the Presbytery became part of Western Ontario Waterways Regional Council.

Cochrane Presbytery was established in 1925. It was originally within the boundaries of the Toronto Conference until 1975, when it came under the newly formed Manitou Conference. In the fall of 2007, Cochrane Presbytery amalgamated with Temiskaming Presbytery to form Spirit Dancing Presbytery of Manitou Conference.

Davenport Road United Church traces its origins to 1818 when Methodist prayer meetings were held at the home of Bartholomew Bull in west Toronto. The first church building on the current site was built in 1857. The current building retains the east wall of the 1857 building, and is located at 1900 Davenport Road, across from Perth Avenue, between Lansdowne Avenue and Keele Street. Davenport Road Methodist became a United Church in 1925.

St. Giles Presbyterian Church was founded in 1869 and was first known as East Presbyterian Church. The first church building was opened in 1870 and was located near the intersection of King Street and Sackville Street. In 1888, the congregation moved to a new building on Oak Street facing Clare Street, just east of Parliament Street. In 1901, the church name was changed to St. Giles. In 1942, St. Giles united with Parliament Street United Church and King Street United Church to form Oak Street United Church in the St. Giles building

Royce Avenue Presbyterian Church was located at Royce Avenue and Perth Avenue until the new building was constructed at 1573 Bloor Street West in 1909. Once the new building was built the congregation was renamed Alhambra Avenue Presbyterian Church. Alhambra Avenue became a United Church in 1925.

Richmond Street began as a splinter congregation coming out of the Adelaide Street Methodist Church (1832), forming the George Street British Wesleyan Church in the city. In 1837 the group returned to Adelaide Street, but in 1840 they again left that congregation. In 1845 a new building was erected on the south side of Richmond Street, between Yonge and Bay streets, the Richmond Street Methodist Church (also considered the 'Cathedral' of Toronto Methodism, because many other churches can draw their roots from this congregation). From 1847 to 1871 the congregation was also known as Toronto West, and in 1872 as Toronto Second. In 1888 the congregation re-located to a building on McCaul Street, opposite Grange Road, and the congregation became known as New Richmond Street or McCaul Street Methodist Church. In 1905 the Toronto Conference reluctantly agreed to the congregation's request that the building be sold to pay off the mortgage.

Runnymede Presbyterian was established in 1906 .In 1925 the Runnymede Community Church (part of the Council of Local Churches) joined with minority groups from Runnymede Presbyterian and Morningside Presbyterian churches to form Runnymede United Church. The majority of the Runnymede congregation remained with the Presbyterian Church. Runnymede Presbyterian is still an active congregation in the Presbyterian Church of Canada.

St. James Square Presbyterian Church was an early Presbyterian Church in Toronto, originally known as Second United Presbyterian Church about 1853. In 1857 a church was opened at Victoria and Gould streets in Toronto, and the congregation took the name, Gould Street Presbyterian around 1861. This building was sold in 1877 and the congregation moved to St. James Square, taking that name in 1879. It joined with the United Church in 1925.

St. Matthew's began as a Sunday School in 1956. In 1957 the church moved to a portable building on the site of the current building. The building was built in the early 1960's. the church is located at 333 Crosby Ave, Richmond Hill. The church is still an active congregation.

Central United Church is located at 1 King Street and Weston Road, in the neibourhood of Weston in Toronto. Central was founded in 1821, and the church has occupied the same site on Weston Road since that time. Formerly, Methodist, the first building was a log structure built in 1821, a larger brick church was constructed in 1849. The present building was dedicated in 1887. Central is still an active congregation in the United Church of Canada.

Zion-Wexford Church, at 2162 Lawrence Avenue East in Scarborough, began life in 1842 as a Primitive Methodist congregation meeting in a small building called Twaddle's Chapel in Wexford, Ontario. In 1876 a stone church with the name 'Parsonage Church' was built on the present site, and the Primitives joined the Methodist Union of 1884. A dispute led the congregation to join with the Presbyterian Church in 1888-1889, and it was as a Presbyterian congregation (renamed Zion) that it joined the United Church in 1925. In 1954 the name Wexford was prefixed to the congregation's name to distinguish it from other Zion churches in the Toronto Presbytery, as Metropolitan Toronto was formed and the geographic name Wexford disappeared from maps. In 2002, Zion-Wexford amalgamated with Wilmar Heights and became Wexford Heights United Church.

Donegal Methodist Church formed in 1864 with the congregation first being a preaching point of the Elma Mission, 1863-1864. For a time it was known as "Foster's Congregation". A church was built in 1864 and it was then became Donegal Methodist Church. It joined the United Church in 1925.

St. Andrew's United Church, Formerly Presbyterian, was established in 1925. In 1969 the church became part of the Bancroft-Carlow Pastoral Charge. Due to decline in attendance the last regular meeting was held in 2010. The church is still used during the summer and for events.
