Administrative history
St. Paul's United Church in Franktown was established in 1925; formerly Presbyterian. St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Franktown traces its origins to 1822 when a church was built on the seventh line of Beckwith Township; while officially known as the Beckwith Presbyterian Congregation in connection with the Church of Scotland, it was known commonly as the 'Seventh Line Church.' In 1869, Carleton Place was added as a second point. In 1870, the Beckwith church relocated to Franktown and took the name St. Paul's, while the church in Carleton Place took the name St. Andrew's. In 1888, St. Andrew's became a separate congregation. St. Paul's Presbyterian Church entered the United Church in 1925.
