Administrative history
Brooklin United Church, located at 19 Cassels Road East in Brooklin, was established in 1926, formerly Methodist and Presbyterian. The Brooklin Methodist Circuit was established ca. 1840. The Brooklin Methodist Church joined the United Church in 1925 as part of the Brooklin and Kedron Pastoral Charge. Brooklin Presbyterian Church was established ca.1870s; it joined the United Church in 1925 and was part of the Columbus and Brooklin Pastoral Charge.In 1926, the two United Churches in Brooklin formed a local union and served in the former Methodist Church. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.

Fonds consists of records, including marriages, 1896-1922, from Brooklin Methodist Circuit, 1872-1925; records of Columbus and Brooklin Presbyterian Pastoral Charge, 1896-1926; records of Brooklin Presbyterian Church, 1877-1925; records of Brooklin and Kedron Pastoral Charge, 1925-1926; records of Columbus and Brooklin Pastoral Charge, 1925; records, including baptisms, 1915-1946, marriages, 1914-1947. and burials, 1914-1949, of Brooklin United Church, 1908-1998.
