Calvary United Church was established in 1925, formerly Methodist; it closed in 1968. Calvary Methodist Church was established ca. 1904, and was variously known as Kensington Avenue Methodist Church and Crown Point Methodist Church until changing its name ca. 1913; it joined the United Church in 1925.
