Centralia - West Zion Pastoral Charge was formed in 1968 with the introduction of West Zion United Church to Centralia Pastoral Charge. It originally consisted of Centralia, Whalen, and Zion. Zion and Whalen amalgmated in ca. 1969 to form Zion West, becoming the second point of the two-point charge. It is still an active pastoral charge of the United Church of Canada.
Centralia United Church, located at 197 Victoria Drive in Centralia, was formed in 1925; formerly Methodist. Centralia Methodist Church was established in 1888. The church joined the United Church in 1925.It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.
Zion West United Church, located at 41592 Park Road, Granton, was formed ca. 1969 with the amalgamation of Zion and Whalens. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.

Fonds consists of records, including baptisms, 1897-1899, of Centralia Methodist Circuit (includes Centralia, Fairfield, Elimville, Kings), 1876-1923; records of Centralia Pastoral Charge (includes Whalen's Corner), 1911-1944; records of Centralia - West Zion Pastoral Charge, 1923-1999; records, including marriages, 1896-1940, of Centralia United Church, 1896-1997.
