Series consists of records relating to the establishment of a fund for ministry to isolated Indigenous communities the northwest coast. Records include report and recommendation of the Central Mainland Marine Mission Endowment Fund Committee, correspondence and appeals, excerpts from Conference Executive minutes, and terms of reference for the Thomas Crosby Fund.

Fonds consists of subject files - correspondence, minutes, internal reports, memoranda and publications, including records of dealings with the Conference, Conference committees, divisions and officers, and the Board of Home Missions in Toronto; records of business related to specific church properties and missions in the lower mainland; and records of the Council's Home Placement Committee.

Series consists of records relating to Shaver's service to the wider church as a member of Manitoba Conference's Faith and Order Committee (1951-1956); a member of BC Conference's Commission to Study Institutional Work in the Lower Mainland (1967-1969); a member of the Board of Directors for the Vancouver Inner City Service Project (1967-1969); and supervisor of a student at the Vancouver School of Theology (1995-1997).
