Name of creator
Collier Street United Church, located at 112 Collier Street in Barrie, was established in 1925, formerly Methodist. Collier Street Methodist Church was established on April 18, 1836 and the first building was erected in 1841. A larger building was later erected in 1864. It joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. In 1986, an apartment complex Collier Place was added to the property. It is still an active congregation of the United Church.
This material forms part of the Ontario Regional Councils program of the United Church of Canada Archive.

Fonds consists of records, including marriages, 1858-1875, 1899, 1900-1924, of Collier Street Methodist Church, 1853-1924; and records, including baptisms/marriages/burials, 1909-1938, baptisms, 1926-1961, marriages, 1939-1987, burials, 1939-1979, of Collier Street United Church (includes Collier Street Methodist Church), 1896-1987.
