    Biografie

David Lochhead was born on June 18, 1936 in Montreal, Quebec. Lochhead was educated at McGill University, where he obtained degrees in General Science and Philosophy of Religion. He pursued further theological studies in Vancouver, England, and Chicago. He also served as an ordained supply at Franklin, Montreal (1963-1965); Dean at St. Paul's College in Hamilton (1966-1969); principal at the Coughlan College, Newfoundland (1969-1973); minister at Thornbury, Ontario (1973-1978); and faculty at the Vancouver School of Theology, British Columbia (1978-1999). He was active in interfaith and interdenominational dialogue through the United Church of Canada and the Canadian Council of Churches. Lochhead also served as a member of several presbytery, conference, and general council committees. A large portion of his works explored the relationship between computers and spirituality. He published seven theological books. Lochhead died on June 15, 1999 in Saskatoon.
