Dawn Valley-Dresden-Rutherford Pastoral Charge was established in ca. 1999 when Dresden and Florence-Rutherford-Dawn Valley amalgamated. It disbanded in 2012 when Dawn Valley joined with Oil Springs.
Florence-Rutherford-Dawn Valley Pastoral Charge was established circa 1970 when Dawn Valley was added to Florence-Rutherford Pastoral Charge. Florence Methodist Church was established circa 1858; it joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. Florence-Rutherford Pastoral Charge was established circa 1959; circa 1970 it became Florence-Rutherford-Dawn Valley Pastoral Charge when Dawn Valley was added. Florence United Church was established in 1925, formerly Methodist.
