Biographical history
Edward Harold Toye (1884-1974) was a Methodist/United Church minister who was was best known for his work to improve relations between the Church and organized labour. Born at McKellar, Ontario, he studied at Victoria University, and was ordained in 1911. He served Methodist churches in central Ontario. He founded the Religion-Labour Forum (later Foundation), serving as its Executive Secretary from 1943-1959.
