Biographical history
Elda Daniels Struthers (1906-1997) was a United Church minister and a missionary to Korea. She was born at Colpoy's Bay, Ontario. She taught public school in Hamilton, Ontario, then studied at Victoria University. She served as a Woman's Missionary Society missionary in Korea, and as superintendent of Oriental House in Victoria, British Columbia. During World War II, she studied at Emmanuel College and was ordained into the United Church. After the war, she taught at Ewha Women's University in Seoul, Korea. She married Dr. E.B. Struthers in 1957. She returned with him to Korea and taught Christian Education at Ehwa Women's University until 1963.
