History
In 1864 Primitive Methodists had established a Sunday School on Spadina Avenue in the Queen Street vicinity, and later built a church not far to the west of that corner. This church was named Euclid Avenue Methodist Church. A Wesleyan Methodist Church, Queen Street Methodist, erected in 1838 was not far east of the Euclid Avenue Church. In 1923 Queen Street closed and the two congregations were joined as Queen Street Methodist, in the Euclid Building. Two years later, due to church union, the congregation became Queen Street United.
