Central United Church, formerly Methodist, established in 1925. The church was located at 628 Ouellette Avenue. In 1987, Giles Boulevard amagalmated with Central United Church. In 2022 the single point charge closed.

Originally located in Hexekonta Club Scrapbook. Image was alongside small newsprint article. [ Transcription follows} ; Hexekonta Club Honors Miss White; Miss Olive White, 1521 Church Street, was honored by the Hexekonta Club of Centra United Church when she was presented with the first life membership certificate to be given by the group to an member. The presentation was made to Miss White at her home by three charter members of the club, Miss Vera Arnold, Miss Lottie Wigle and Miss Irene McRitchie, who share happy memories of the clubs activities since its inception in 1924 with Miss White as the first president. Through the years, Miss White has been a faithful and devoted worker, and her ceaseless and untiring efforts have neen an inspiration to all who know her. Further to recognize Miss White's valued service to the club and her keen interst in the Sunday School work of the church, a gift was made to the Sunday School as a tribute to her. [ Obituary Transcription also with photo follows - 1958 ] Miss Olive White, 63 of 219 Wellesley St., died Sunday after a lengthy illness. She was born in Palmyra, Ont., but lived in Windsor for 40 years. Miss White was a member of Central United Church. An active church member, Miss White was first president and life member of the Hexekonta Club and the Barbara Heck Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Owls Reuion Club, Ridgetown. She is survived by one brother, Harold of Windsor; three sister, Mrs. Crosby Loft of Ilderton, Ont.; Mrs. Wes Long and Miss Dora White, both of Windsor. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. at the Morris Funeral Home, Giles Blvd. and Goyeau St. Rev. J.W. Houston will officiate. The body will be transferred to the McKeller and McIntyre Funeral Home, Ridgetown, for services Wednesday at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
