Holmesville Pastoral Charge was formed in 2006 when Wesley-Willis-Holmesville formed separate single-point pastoral charges; it closed on October 17, 2010. Prior to 1954, Holmesville Pastoral Charge, formerly Methodist, included Holmesville, Ebenezer Church and Zion Church, both in Goderich Township, and was discontinued ca. 1954, when Ebenezer Church closed, Holmesville became part of Wesley-Willis-Holmesville Pastoral Charge, and Zion Church became part of Bayfield Pastoral Charge
Wesley-Willis-Holmesville United Church was formed ca. 1954, including Wesley-Willis United Church in Clinton and Holmesville United Church; it closed in 2006.
Ebenezer United Church was established in 1925, formerly Methodist; it closed ca. 1954, but continued to serve as a Sunday School
Grace United Church, Porter's Hill, was established in 1925; formerly Methodist and Presbyterian. It closed in 1969.
Holmesville United Church was established in 1925; formerly Methodist. It closed in 2010.
Holmesville Methodist Circuit was established in 1872, including Holmesville, Sharon, Ebenezer (also known as Rudd's Church), Sturdy's, Tipperary, Summerhill, Bethel (also known as Wilkinson's) and Zion (also known as Taylor's Corners).
Holmesville Methodist Church was established in ca. 1854 and closed in 1925 when the church joined the United Church of Canada. It was also referred to as the Maitland Branch of the Wesleyan Methodist Church.
