Administrative history
Humbercrest United Church was established in 1925, formerly Methodist. It is located at 16 Baby Point Road. The church began in 1912 as the Jane Street Mission, located at the northwest corner of Jane and Raymond Avenue, just south of Annette Street and Baby Point Road. In 1914, the congregation moved to a 'basement' church at its present site on Baby Point Road at Thornhill Avenue, just west of Jane Street. In 1924 a new church building was dedicated, and this church was replaced by another new building in 1951. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.
