Series relates to the couple's academic research and professional lives. Includes clinical notes, reports, and reprints of medical articles that were written by Dr. Edison Cunningham himself or other professionals in the field. Series also includes some of Dr. Gladys Cunningham's notes from her public addresses, a selected bibliography, and some copies of letters she wrote to other colleagues. Also included are a few letters of recommendation written by the two doctors, photographs of patients from China (mainly with eye diseases), and the financial records of their private practice in Vancouver.

Also included are photographs and postcards kept by his mother, Edith Bracewell (nee King), relating to her two years of nurses' training at the Methodist Church hospital in Hazelton (ca. 1920) and her much later visit to Naramata Christian Leadership Training School (1955).

File consists of digitized copies of the United Church of Canada Woman's Missionary Society Annual Reports. These reports continued the reports published by the Woman's Missionary Society of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, Woman's Missionary Society of the Methodist Church, Canada, and Canada Congregational Woman's Board of Missions.

The reports run from 1925-1961 and were published by The Armac Press Limited, Ryerson Press and United Church Publishing House.

Reports include sections outlining missionary work, a directory of conference and branches, officers of the Dominion Board, official minutes of the Dominion Board, the executive and its committees, statistics, reports from the Executive Secretary of both home and overseas missions and financial reporting.

The publication of the reports was the responsibility of the periodical department.

In 1998 the UC National Consultation of Leaders in Ministry strongly urged DMC to establish a Work Group on Deaf Ministries which would have a Governance Sub-Group and Program Sub-Group. Part of the mandate of the Program Sub-Group would be to work with DMPE to conduct ecumenical pilot projects for training deaf ministry candidates within the coming years. This series contains records pertaining to DMPE’s contribution to Deaf Ministry.

Series consists of three subseries: 1) Theological Education for the Deaf, 1998-2001, 2) Working Group on Deaf Ministries, 1994-2004.
