All of the photographs were published in Letters from Old China: Letters and Diary Entries from 1901 to 1943 by Laura Hambley, and most of them are accompanied by a separate piece of paper which includes the caption used in the book.

File consists of digitized copies of the United Church of Canada Woman's Missionary Society Annual Reports. These reports continued the reports published by the Woman's Missionary Society of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, Woman's Missionary Society of the Methodist Church, Canada, and Canada Congregational Woman's Board of Missions.

The reports run from 1925-1961 and were published by The Armac Press Limited, Ryerson Press and United Church Publishing House.

Reports include sections outlining missionary work, a directory of conference and branches, officers of the Dominion Board, official minutes of the Dominion Board, the executive and its committees, statistics, reports from the Executive Secretary of both home and overseas missions and financial reporting.

The publication of the reports was the responsibility of the periodical department.

File consists of a set of glass lantern slides and an accompanying lecture script entitled "New Calls for Christian Living", which features the work of the Women's Missionary Society and some of its missionaries. The slides were created by the Committee on Missionary Education, and the script is signed by its secretary, Kenneth J. Beaton.
