Biographical history
James C. Speer (1854-1931) was a Methodist/United Church minister in Toronto and B.C. He was born in the County of Peterborough, was ordained in 1884 and in 1885 he was married to Harriet Robinson. He had charges in the Toronto Conference including Hanover, Mono Road, Richmond Hill, Toronto Broadway, and then went to Victoria, B.C.. He then served at Euclid Ave., Toronto, 1900-1902; and a number of Toronto area churches, 1903-1920. He served at Dundas from 1921 until his death.

Scope and content
Fonds consists of a personal marriage register for Toronto, Euclid Ave. Church, 1900-1902; and New Richmond St. Church, 1903-1904.
