Biographical history
Jan Rhijnsburger (1929-2008) was a United Church minister and chaplain. Born in The Hague, Netherlands, he was ordained in 1968 in Windsor, Ont. He served the following charges: Algoma, 1960; Massasaga Pastoral Chrage, 1961; Tobermory, 1962; Orton Pastoral Charge, 1964-1968, Massey Pastoral Charge, 1968-1973; Thamesville Pastoral Charge, 1973-1980; St. Matthew's (Richmond Hill), 1980; Niagara Detention Centre. 1984-1992; and Silverdale-Tintern Pastoral Charge, 1993-2001.
He died in October 2008 in Niagara Falls, Ont.
