Keene Pastoral Charge was formed in 1925; included Keene (formerly Methodist and Presbyterian), Bethel Church (formerly Methodist) in Otonabee Township, and Zion Church (formerly Methodist) in Otonabee Township; by ca. 1957, Keene was the only point left on the charge. Bethel United Church in Otonabee Township was established in 1925; formerly Methodist; it closed ca. 1954. Zion United Church in Otonabee Township was established in 1925; formerly Methodist; it closed ca. 1957.
