Biographical history

In 1958 the congregations of Zion United and Trinity United amalgamated under the name Trinity-Zion United Church. They congregated at the Trinity United location on East 7th Avenue, until a new building was erected. In 1962 the new building at 12th Avenue and Semlin Drive was dedicated, and the congregation was renamed Lakeview United Church.

Fonds consists of records from Lakeview United Church, Trinity United Church, Trinity-Zion United Church, and Trinity Methodist Church. Records include Baptism, Marriage and Burial Records (1910-1984); Membership Records (1910-1962); Board and Committee Records (1910-1969); Women’s Group Records (1922-1989); Sunday School Records (1922-1960); Youth Group Records (1949-1976); Records of Other Groups (1947-1970); Correspondence/Subject Files (1957-1958); Worship Service Bulletins (1939-1975); Congregational Financial Records (1909-1976); Annual Reports (1961-1981); Architectural Records (1961); Guest Registers (1956-1962); and Memorabilia ([ca. 1960]).
