Biographical history
Lawrence I. Hunter (d.1969) was a Presbyterian/United Church minister and hospital chaplain. Laurie Hunter was born at Shelburne, studied at the University of Toronto and Knox College and married Eleanor Adams. His first charge was at Alma. In 1918, he went to Riverdale Presbyterian Church in Toronto. When that congregation voted not to join Church Union in 1925, he became the minister of North Riverdale United Church and then Westmoreland United Church in Toronto. In 1958, he became the chaplain for Mount Sinai Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children.
