Maidstone - Gesto Pastoral Charge, also known as Maidstone Pastoral Charge, was formed ca. 1967 when Gesto United Church joined Maidstone Pastoral Charge to form a three-point charge with Bethel and Maidstone. It became a single-point charge in 2008 with the closure of Gesto United Church and the amalgamation of Bethel and Maidstone to form Bethel-Maidstone United Church. It is still an active charge of the United Church of Canada.
Maidstone Pastoral Charge was formed in 1925 and consisted of Bethel United Church in Sandwich East Township, Maidstone, and Wesley United Church.

Custodial history
Records from accession 2018.180L were in the custody of Centennial United Church, Stratford for an unknown period of time. They were transferred to the Perth County Archives upon the closing of the Centennial in 2006. The records were subsequently transferred to the United Church Archives in 2018.
