Administrative history
The Commission was formed in 1920 to study the work and needs of the Church. It conducted meetings in London, Woodstock, Belleville, Stratford, Montreal, and Chatham, asking questions concerning urban work, rural work, religious education, and church work with immigrants, women, and youth. The Commission compiled its report in 1921.

Fonds consists of minutes; correspondence and questionnaires; transcripts of responses to questions; interim report by W.G. Smith re relation of the Methodist Church to immigrants in Western Canada; interim and final reports of the Commission.
