Administrative history
The Church began in 1797 as a breakaway group from the Wesleyan Methodists. Between 1837 and 1874 the Church operated a Canadian mission.
Custodial history
This material forms part of the General Council program of the United Church of Canada Archive.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of correspondence from missionaries in Canada East and West to the Missionary Secretaries in England. Among the correspondents are: H.O. Crofts, John Addyman, William Ridgeway, J. Jackson, J. Stockton, W. McClure, J.H. Robinson, and J. Stacey.
