Administrative history
Oriole-York Mills United Church in North York was established in 1959. The first home of the congregation was the Harrison Road Public School. The church building was opened in 1961 and dedicated in 1962; it is located at 2609 Bayview Avenue, just north of York Mills Road, in the urban community of Willowdale. Oriole-York Mills United Church amalgamated with Centennial-Japanese United Church on September 28, 2014 to form Bayview United Church.
The predecessor congregation of Oriole-York Mills was Oriole United Church, formerly Oriole Methodist Church, which had been established originally as Clark's Methodist Church. This church was located at the corner of Sheppard Avenue and Leslie Street.
