Thamesford Pastoral Charge was formed in 1927, formerly Methodist and Presbyterian; it included Thamesford and Zion Church in East Nissouri Township
Westminster United Church, located at 115 George Street in Thamesford, was established in 1927 with the amalgamation of St. Andrew's United Church (formerly Presbyterian) and Wesley United Church (formerly Methodist). It was known as Thamesford United Church until a new building was erected in 1938 and the name of Westminster was adopted. It was part of a two point charge with Zion Church in East Nissouri Township (7th line). It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.
