General note
Previously described under China - Tibet - Landscapes - Various mountains, lakes, etc. Handwritten note on verso reads: No. 8. ; This little lake is on the way over the Moshi Mien Pass to the glacier which we failed to find Would you imagine it was between 12 000 and 13 000 above sea level? Mr. D. Says the picture is a fake. The lake is perhaps 300 yards long and for the most part the banks are bare and desolate, sloping up on the right to the 18 000 feet mountains. But I caught the pretty corner and it looks quite like Georgian Bay scenery. Mission location: West China
