    Biographical history

    Union College was created in 1927 through an amalgamation of Ryerson College and Westminster Hall. Union College was located on the UBC campus and continued to provide theological training until 1971, when it amalgamated with the Anglican Theological College. The principals of Union College were J.G. Brown (1927-1948) and William S. Taylor (1948-1971).

    Fonds consists of annual reports and calendars (1926-1971), minutes of the Board of Governors, the Executive Committee and the Senate (1927-1971), correspondence, financial files, and clippings of Principal J. G. Brown (1927-1947), minutes and other records of the Building, Finance, and House Committees (1928-1951), financial records (1926-1970), records of student standing (1923-1947), minutes and other records of the Faculty Council (1927-1971), minutes and other records of the Theological Student Society (1929-1970), minutes and other records of the Alumni Association (1926-1971), minutes and other records of the Union College Women's Auxiliary, including the Women's Educational Club of Columbian College (1909-1972), architectural drawings (1925-1927), and scrapbooks, visitors register, marriage register, and accession records of the library.
