General note
Series: Fernie, B.C. (Methodist).
General note
Contents: This is a view showing the Main St. in Fernie looking east after the fire. The very dull appearance is caused by the very dense smoke which I hope you will understand -- One of the main business corners of Fernie taken just after the fire showing the foundation of the court house -- What is left of the 100 feet of a G.N.R.R. bridge just in the outskirts of Fernie -- The crows nest pass coal co. office, one of the only three business bldgs. left in Fernie where about 500 people saved their lives during the fire with the smoke of the fire still raging in the hills, and the place where they served out the rations in the foreground -- A hundred and forty cars of coal and coak that were burned in the Fernie fire on Aug. the first.
