Administrative history

The Campden Station of the Evangelical Alliance was initiated when American Alliance preachers came to minister to German-speaking Canadians in the years 1839-1841, in the Black Creek region. A church was erected in the Campden area in 1850, and in 1872 a new church was opened in the village.
•In 1968, Trinity Evangelical United Brethren Church joined the United Church; it closed in April 2004.
•Vineland United Church was established in 1925, formerly Presbyterian

Fonds consists of records of Trinity Evangelical Association Church, including Campden Conference, 1841-1918; records, including marriages, 1899-1947, of Trinity Evangelical Church, 1899-1947; records, including baptisms, 1849-1948, and marriages, 1858-1949, of Trinity Evangelical United Brethren Church, 1849-1966; board minutes of Campden - Vineland Pastoral Charge, 1962-1998; records, including marriages, 1922-1953, of Vineland United Church (includes Vineland Presbyterian Church), 1911-1982; records, including marriages, 1989-1991, of Trinity United Church, 1925-1998.
