Administrative history
Westway United Church, Toronto, was established in 1957 with its first service held at Westway Village Public School on Poynter Avenue on May 12, 1957. The congregation was constistuted on February 27, 1958. It later held services, from August 3, 1958 to October 15, 1961 in a portable church building; services then took place at the newly constructed Christian Education building on that site. In 1967, a new sanctuary was built. It is located at 8 Templar Drive, northeast of the intersection of Kipling Avenue and The Westway. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.
