Biographical history
Rev. Dr. William Morley Punshon (1823-1881) was a well-known Wesleyan Methodist minister in Britain. He was in Canada for 1868-1873, during which time he gave impetus to the building of Metropolitan Methodist Church in Toronto, and the expansion of missions in Canada West and Japan. He also had a role in stabilizing Victoria College's finances. When he returned to Britain he served as President of Conference and Secretary of the Missionary Society.
