Administrative history

Wyoming United Church, located at 730 2nd Street at Confederation Line, was established 1925, formerly Methodist. Wyoming was originally a mission point of Warwick Methodist Circuit in 1853, and a church was built in 1857. A new church in the current location was constructed in 1917. The church joined the United Church in 1925. Until 1963, it was a two-point charge with South Plympton, and when the latter church closed, it became a three-point charge with Warwick and Uttoxeter. In 1971, Warwick left to form its own charge, and it remained a two-point charge with Uttoxeter until that church closed on June 11, 2006. Wyoming United Church is still an active congregation of the United Church.
